Colloquia

There are several opportunities each year for KSU mathematics students to attend colloquia on a wide variety of mathematical topics given by renowned mathematicians.

On campus, the Department of Mathematics holds a Mathematics Seminar several times each semester. The speakers at these seminars include both invited guests and KSU faculty members. Also, meetings of the MAA Student Chapter often feature guest speakers.

There are many excellent colleges and universities in the Atlanta area which periodically invite renowned mathematicians to give colloquia. KSU students have the opportunity to attend these off-campus colloquia. Attendance at these colloquia not only exposes the student to new mathematical concepts and to world-renowned mathematicians, but it also allows the student to meet and network with colleagues at other institutions.
