Math 3332 - Probability and Statistical
Inference
- Prerequisite: Math 1190
- Credit hours: 3-0-3
- This course is designed to introduce the student to probability and both
descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include: random variables and probability
distributions, expectation and variance of random variables, properties of estimators,
exploratory data techniques, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests for population mean
and proportion, Statistical Process Control, chi-square goodness of fit test, and
contingency table analysis. The MINITAB statistical software package is used.
