Mathematics Education Programs

If you do not have an undergraduate degree and are seeking certification to teach mathematics (6 – 12), you have two options.

  • BS in Mathematics Education
  • BS in Mathematics with Teacher Certification

Please contact Dr. Barbara Ferguson for complete information.

If you have an undergraduate degree in mathematics or a related field and are seeking initial certification to teach mathematics (6 – 12), then the program for you is the Master of Art in Teaching that began during the summer of 2006.

For information contact Dr. Marian Fox or Dr. Lynn Stallings

If you are a certified mathematics teacher, 4-8 or 6-12, and are interested in post baccalaureate work, please consider the Master of Adolescent Education or the Doctor of Education in Leadership for Learning (Ed.D.). Both of these are offered with a concentration in mathematics education.

Contact Dr. Susan Stockdale for the MEd and Dr. Nita Paris for the EdD
